EOM Simple Simon Test II: SPX Pullback AC-D Review

If you want to have a better performance than the crowd, you must do things differently from the crowd.                                                 Sir John Templeton

I will be taking tomorrow (Friday) Veterans Day off, to spend time with my favorite Veteran-my Father. Although not a religious holiday, it is one I truly respect and honor. I thank all of my followers/members that are or have served in the US Military-Salute.

Although many “Academics/Economic Advisors,” predicted a market meltdown if Mr. Trump was elected, they were wrong. It will be interesting to see how many main street investors jump in at these levels to put cash to work.

Why the buying? This CNBC interview from Billionaire Stanley Druckenmiller helps to explain the reason why. I agree with many of his points, except selling my Precious Metal holdings.

Today, I conclude my SPX Pullback series to see if the Simple Simon gave quality entry signals. The links to each pullback are below.

2010  Pullback A
2011  Pullback B
2105  Pull back C
2015  Pullback D

Key Points…

1.  Each SPX pullback tested support at least two times before breaking out
2.  A SS Buy Signal was generated after each/every pullback
3.  The 85% Rule was in effect with three out of the four pullbacks

This knowledge is VERY important. When the next pullback occurs, we will keep it front and center when fine tuning our entry/exit decisions.

On Monday, I take an in-depth look at the SPX Big Picture to help with our 2016/2017 strategies.

Enjoy your evening,
